Walk in the Forest
Walking in the shadows though the sun is bright
The soft wind blows and the time is right
You begin your walk and softly start humming
To the music of birds chirping and animals running
You notice the rush of the trees as the wind starts to blow
And the bubbling of the brook as the waters flow
You see a doe nearby with her fawn at her side
She doesn't see a foe so no need to hide
In the rey's of light shining through the trees
She has no fright as the fawn runs free
You keep walking so not to disturb the pair
And you keep humming with a new found flare
It's almost an orchestra with the sounds of the forest
Then you start to sing a beautiful chorus
Everything is silent as you sing your solo
When you finish your song more sounds follow
You near the end of your walk and you let out a sigh
You see a large hawk and say your goodbye Written by: Joellyn C. Noennig ©2008 |
